The Mall at Prince George's strives to create a safe and secure environment for mall staff and consumers. As news of the spread of the COVID-19, novel coronavirus, continues to dominate the public domain, we wanted to bring you up to speed on measures we are taking to keep our public space as safe as possible.
The health and well-being of our shopper and tenant community is our top priority. With that in mind, we are following orders of state officials to close The Mall at Prince George's facility to the public. The mall will be temporarily closed starting at 5pm on March 19, 2020. Please check back or sign up to receive our emails for updates.
Department store, restaurant and exterior facing store hours may vary and change. Please check with each restaurant or store for the most up-to-date news and hours.
3/12/20 Update: Based on the social distancing recommendations of public health and government officials, the Mall at Prince George's will no longer be hosting the Easter Bunny or associated events.
Our Housekeeping contractor has trained their staff in personal protocols that include proper personal handwashing, staying home if they are sick, covering coughing and sneezing with a tissue and avoiding contact with their eyes, nose and mouths.
Additionally, they will be providing additional rounds of cleaning as well as enhanced methods of disinfecting high-touch surfaces. This includes upgrading to hospital-grade disinfectant and following procedures to maximize its effectiveness.
Upkeep of hand sanitizer stations throughout the mall including, but not limited to entrances, food courts, play areas, seating areas with surfaces, restrooms and more. Additional units will be ordered as needed.
We are also in the process of procuring anti-bacterial wipes for use in high-touch areas with surfaces including food courts, common area seating and charging stations as well as stroller docks and play areas.
We plan to continue to operate on our normal schedule and will alert you if that should change due to local government recommendations or our own determination that there is an increased cause for concern. Please be patient as we might have to modify, cancel or postpone an event or program.
